Learning to learn and a lot more
Learning to learn and a lot more
We usually considered from the point of view how important ontogenetic of being raised in a culture where there are no tables or toilet bowls for example. One of the first stories that interest me one of the latest books published by Moshe Feldenkrais (1981) is that island where children are raised without being allowed to crawl for cultural or religious beliefs and "consequences" in adult life of these children. It can be an exercise of pure imagination or mental hypothesis imagine a society where children are not permitted even run, but there are other societies where girls are clitoral ablation as an initiation ritual, without further questioning. The issue is not talk about ethics or moral, it is to increase our understanding in our relations with others with respect and dignity.
It may be instructive in this sense the touch and skill of the doctor in that scene where Dr. House is an asthmatic patient complaining that his new inhaler has to be replaced every week; when House asks her to please show how she take it: in the most normal way she applies indeed as a perfume to her neck.
It seems hilarious, however the reader will find in the book of Carol Davis, Patient Practitioner Interaction (2006) the story of the Haitian mother visiting the hospital at USA spreading her child with cough syrup and clear, doctors did not understand how the child was not progressing in a common cold which symptoms every forty-eight hours get worse, until one of the doctors , skillfully asked the mother to show him how he gave medication to the child and she shows him: she alleged that several generations of his village will use any medication that would spread on the skin of any patient.
The idea here is not to debate the cracks of a health system either, it is among other things learn to relate with respect for one to another.
